I just can't beleive this :(

Wanderer:
I agree that this is a senseless waste of public money and NOT in the public interest.  There are so many of us that know the family and the kids and know or at least can begin to imagine what they went through.

Ok back to the question. Gresh was remanded in custody pending going in front of a magistrate. Don't forget this is standard if magistrates are sitting at the time and one they would have been pre arranged. Gresh was then bailed to appear at Crown Court. So at least he isn't locked up and seperated from his family.

My thoughts are with them and I hope we can do something to help stop this travesty of justice. I don't know how Gresh will be for getting legal aid or anything but he needs a good barrister.

If there's a fund started/needed then I'm happy to contribute.

Gresh and his family have been through the utterly unimaginable. However, whilst I sympathise with Gresh's sitiuation, it is sadly the way of the law to determine and apportion blame in the event of road related deaths, dispite our personal desires for the contrary.

For a moment, if we imagine it was someone from outside our community and not someone as highly respected, would we be feeling the same now? Suppose it was some no-name in an Mondeo............? Sadly, it happens day in and day out.

In theory, the ladder of law has no top and no bottom and even 4x4 owners will get treated like everyone else (in theory).  :( The law has due process and much as though it galls me to the marrow to say this, this case is being 'processed'.

I'm making no judgement on Gresh's part in the tragic loss of four of his children - that will be the doing of the courts and jury to do, I'm just saying that whilst emotive and tremendously painful for all of us, this sad process has got to be gone through. I wish him the best in this because as stated, he's been through enough already.

I hate being the bearer of bad news, especially to folk who sincerely give thier best wishes for one one of our own.   :(

Like Wanderer, I would support any fund offering the family legal aid.

this is just too sad for words :'( :'(

it's wrong, just wrong !!!

It is just shocking.

There would definately be a case for Lagal Aid and the liberty of the accused is at risk.
Again, our thoughts go out to the Gresham family.

Im shocked

Words actually escape me on this one,

Can we have the point of view of any Linconshire police who are members?
