Tax exempt landy??
mm77:
You could try sending it in for an MOT, mate of mine did for years at the same garage. Then when computerised MOT's came in it said on the top of the MOT form. it was built in 1971, but regisated in 1974.
So he wrote to the DVLA mentioning this and told to send in his v5 for amendment, got it tax exempt and form to reclaim the tax back

I did not think the MOD used such an early example of the Series 3, my gut feeling suggests something dodgy.
But I do like it!

I wonder how you can own an old landy for so long and not know if its 12 or 24 volts. Either he gives it to the garrage and asks no questions or its the worlds most/ONLY reliable landrover?

Some TA depots still got series 3 landy laying about used for training, engines out etc spotted couple only a few weeks ago in a compound.
Cyrus is the dodgy hint, some steal landies, claim to "ship" them to Cyrus, then get local plates and all the paperwork legal then "reship" back to the UK, course never leave our shores, then sell them on fbay.
