how exactly do i go about bleeding the system before topping it up?

Les Henson:
You have aq bleed screw on the clutch slave cylinder (11mm spanner) attach a bleed pipe to it, open the screw 1/2 turn and get someone to press the pedal. While the pedal is down, close the bleed screw, then kift the clutch pedal, and do the same thing again. Bear in mind that it only takes 4 or 5 presses of the pedal to empty the master cylinder reservoir, so keep it topped up.
