rev counter dont work

hello all,hope you could help,

got a 200tdi disco and the rev counter dont work,

any idea what wrong,where to start looking :D

Check the connections on the back of the alternator, sometimes the feed for the rev counter gets loose or corrodes away, best bet is to either tighten it or replace the spade connector.
