jap import/fitting alarm/centrol locking.HELP!
« on: July 09, 2008, 15:14:00 »
i have a 1996 300TDI jap import disco.
it doesn't have an alarm so i thought i would fit one.
can anyone tell me how to tap into the Central locking system to get it to work when i arm the alarm.
do i have to fit a separate door solenoid to lock the doors.
trouble is i cant seem to find a big enough space to fit it.
can anyone help please.

what i need to know is can i wire into the drivers door solenoid and how?
or do i have to fit a separate solenoid to trigger the drivers solenoid as if the key was being turned
