diesel leeking from the front of the engine
trickydicky:
thanks mate is it hard to do or is it experts only
LeanneNCharlie:
hi. strip it down just like you were doing the cam belt. remove belt and pump pulley,(you will need a puller of some sorts). pop out leaky seal and tap in new seal. put back together. i was advised that the seal tends to leak when the shaft wears but there were no signs of wear on our pump shaft so i just fit a new seal. no signs of leaks so far and thats 6 months ago now.

nice one i will see if i can order one then. i hope i dont balls it up i could do whith some pics if anybody has any ?
Les Henson:
You can replace the seal yourself with the pump still in situ. This thread is for the 2.5 N/A engine (TD is the same). 200TDi is the same method, but may use a different seal. The 300TDi is much the same, but requires removal of the injector pump shaft hub.
Be aware that if the fuel is getting on your timing belt - it's highly likely to cause it to snap as the fuel affects the rubber.
