whats best
« on: June 28, 2008, 20:39:20 »
Right then just had the series fail its mot and ive gotten over the sulking stage with it lol and its time for me to do summat about it.

She only failed on 2 bits of welding both being body mounts and a front spring has snapped.

so should i change the leaf springs for parabolics or just buy some standard replacements?

to be honest im thinking of selling her as i have very little time these days to use her as much as i love it

i'f you're going to sell spend 35 quid on a standard replacement.  If she's a keeper put some paras on.

I echo the above statement. Although being the honest type person I'd say replace both front springs at the same time as normal with a motor.

I must say that standard fitment that are working well and are kept oiled are as good as anything!

I debated long and hard about fitting parabolicks!! and decided not to on cost, but the ride, handleing and off road was excelllent with them replaced.

i fitted parabolics a few years ago, and now i am contemplating going back to standard springs
offroad they rock, but onroad they lack the lateral control that the standard leafs provided

As ^they ^ said there are paras and then there are Paras.  I've got a set of British springs ones on my truck and they're fantastic on and off road.  I bought a set from Paddocks but took them back as I didn't like the look of them.  Glad I did as others I know who did by B****art ones have since regretted it.

A mate of mine has Paras on his series for 6 years now and they are good on and off road. So I got a set to go on my series 1.
