Colin 009:
Hi All,

I was drying out my drivers side carpet and foam bits yesterday  :?

I spotted a female plug sticking out from under the fuse box door or was it above it :-k

Anyway can someone tell me what this plug is for. :?:

While fiddling about under the bonnet I also found two plugs with nowhere to go, one was next to the washer bottle and the other was just behind the airbox, next to the wing.

I'm sure this one is for 'Test-Book' or it's equivilant.
Well it's roughly where the chappie plugged it in to persuade mine to accept a new alarm fob

Colin 009:
Oh didn't think mine had this as its a 1996 300 series one.

strapping young lad:
col it may be worth taking a picture of these plugs you mention so that people can have a better idea of what you are on about?

The motor manufacturers usually buy the wiring loom's in - it's a lot cheaper to have 'one loom to fit all' models than half a dozen different ones for the different models - finish everything in a plug connector so if the model doesn't have that bit of kit you don't plug anything into it and end up with plugs hanging about the car all over the place
