90 TD5 Rear shocks broken

Hi my mate has just broken one of his rear shocks on his 90 his is running a +2 lift and currently running decarbon shocks is this common for these decarbon shocks to snap because a short while ago I know someone with a disco also had the same problem. My question is what and where is the best place to get new shocks from. What makes do you recommend.

Landy Andy:
Did he have the bottom bush cups removed from the axle?

Apparently these should be removed for a lift.
