Unknown Leak

Hi, I have just noticed a leak coming from my rear drivers wheel I think it's coming from the top near the brake pad , It smells like gear oil so I'm assuming it's from the diff but I don't know why it's started, I have just had the diff changed will this have anything to do with it? cheers.  Ben
