Front skirt

Getting my new BFG AT's tomorrow - well excited. There's a steering guard and two diff gaurds in the back garden.

So, thought I'd like to get the front skirt off before it gets removed by some greenlane. It looks like it just unbolts from the bumper so that should be ok??

However, what do I do about the lights (I know NOTHING about electrics). Can I just cut the wires and seal the end with insulation tape or will that cause a problem?? Doh!!!

The lights will unplug and the bottom plastic is just clipped/bolted on
Removing that will leave your end caps looking daft though
Cutting them down is very simple, i did mine with a stanley knife
Dont forget to take some pictures for us all to see

The plastic is held on by captive bolts in the metal part of the bumper - drown the nuts in Plusgas and they should come off. The end caps will need to be removed and can be a swine due to a retaining strip between the wing and the bumper covering one of the bolts you need to take off - I ended up bending the strip out of the way then bending it back after.

I used a hand saw to cut mine as it enabled me to get a near-perfect straight line. Just lay the saw along the moulded line and lightly drag it over the plastic to make a mark, then proceed as normal.

The lights are fitted via push-fit connectors with a latch to stop them falling apart.  Disconnect the connectors and tape the end attached to the truck out of the way somewhere.

That said, I've never ripped off my spoiler yet;  it could be to do with it being bolted to the bash plate of a Discoparts steering guard, however.  I'm not saying it doesn't get in the way, but it's still attached!

Here is how I butchered the 200tdi one off in 10 minutes.  Didnt look too bad after, better than with it I think anyway!
