ok i had a couple of deep breaths now and a few fags and im now calm,(sorry about that) i have about 6mm of friction material on them and i think that the mistake i was making was having both wheels up in the air as you rightly pointed out and i have just ordered a haynes manual but its not arrived yet so was trying to do things from memory which obviously isnt as good as it used to be lol,thanks mate i can now have a good nights sleep,cheers,paul.
