brake noise between disc and pads

(1/2) > >>

bunnykins:
does anyone know how to get rid of this ?

is it because the pads are glazed ? if so what do i do ?

J66P:
take the pads out, make sure if theres a groove in the middle of the pad it clean and then put a leading edge on the pad, when you rebuild it put some copper grease on the rear face of the pads, make sure you don't get any on the friction material

i cant even see the pads behind the alloys. how do you clean the pads and what with
and whats the leading edge ? sorry all these questions.
the dealer eplace the pads, will they have a groove in the middle ? [ whats it for ? ]
thks

J66P:
Sorry I was taking it for granted that you had done this yourself, you will need to remove the pads to do the things I've said

A leading edge on the top side of the pads means put a leading edge it will stop help stop dust getting trapped on the corner of the pads, what ususlly happens it that the brake dust builds up mixes with water and causes the brake noise

Not sure if the pads will have a groove or not, doesnt matter if they have or they haven't what does matter is that if its there make sure its cleaned out
