terrano missing somtimes when setting off

the terrano 2.7 tdi somtimes misses and stalls when setting off then doesnt start for a while , any ideas what this can be as its done it 3 times now 1 at some traffic lights and then other i was in the middle of a crossroads , what can i check for ive done all the obvious like diesel leaks and things , its just had the filters done , my mate said theres another filter on the pump , is there??

check the fuel line for perished or cracks, this sometimes does not leek but will allow it to suck air in. also try putting 5 pounds worth of petrol in a full tank of diesel. this will help clean out your fuel system. if this fails set fire to it. ( only joking ) try the air filter. and vacum pipes.
