brake lights not working

NEILH:
hi , any ideas why my brake lights are not working all other lights work , i have checked the brake light switch on the pedal and power is getting there but no lights working !!   

 any ideas?

Take the wires offthe switch and see if it switches when pressed.
Check bulbs and see if you have power at the bulb holder
