its insurance time again
LiftedDisco:
NFU for mine was £226 fully comp - to include a 2" lift and HD winch bumper
This is on an N plate 300 TDi Disco and includes max No Claims Bonus as I don't need to use this for the company car (seemed a shame to leave it idle...) and, don't forget, they will give you a discount for being a member of a bona fide club.... Mud Club counts and will get you the discount!!!
Might be worth asking for a breakdown... unless of course you fall into any of the following:
1) Very young
2) Live somewhere very rough
3) Work in broadcast media or the licenced trade (I always struggled with that one when I had a live in job... after all, their reasoning was that I would drink at work (sackable offence) and then drive home - up the stairs?)
Oh well that's insurance companies for you... ](*,)

ok
got my insurance through Adrian Flux
£279 fully comp (sorry to rub it in for you young drivers)
that includes steering guard tree sliders and bumper change to be done this year
and most importantly i'm covered for green lanes and off-roading :D :D :D :D :D
asked my old insurance company (Lancaster) for proof of no claims which should be about 6 years
and they sent it through showing 2 years seems they asked me what my no claims was and never asked for proof
so i had to contact my old insurance (tesco) company and get them to send proof through
then send that back to lancaster then they will send an up to date cover note out which i can pass onto Adrian Flux
great fun changing insurance

NFU Mutual here at 'BTM Towers' too
£206 last October for the 110
25 years clean licence, maximum NCB, etc...
Which I don't think is bad, considering that there could potentially be 10 passengers claiming for personal injury/etc... if an accident was deemed to be my fault.
Having said that, we've just paid £530(?) for the insurance for Joannes new XKR, but that includes Business Use, me as a named driver, plus her father -who practically begged to go on the policy
