Does anyone hear know anything about Bonsai trees???

Recently I bought a kit to grow your own ive always been interested in these so I thought in for a penny and dived in, the kit contained a pot 3 seeds and some special compost discs that needed soaking. I was a bit disapointed when nothing  seemed to happen for weeks, but now I have a little sapling starting to grow outwards so now im keen to look after it and see how things progress

cheers keith

It can be boring waiting for your tree to grow. You may wish to acquire some others that are already growing that you can practise on while waiting for your sapling to grow. Have a look around the gardens of everyone you know and you should find some self seeded saplings that you can have for free :P :P. If you have space plant them in the garden for a couple of years, this allows the trunk to thicken up and makes the tree look older when you transfer it to a pot. Once they start growing you can start pruning and shaping the tree however you wish.

I have a few Bonsai trees :D I you are growing from seed it's going to take a few years before you can really work on it but you will know it's true age :DIf you can't plant it in the ground you can make a large wooden planter for it to grow in & hopefully it'll keep your dog of it  In the mean time you may wish to buy a partly shaped Bonsai tree or go to your garden centre & pick up a tree or shrub that you can shape & style how you want it to look like :D
Heres 2 web sites you may find very helpfull ;)
