If the seller genuinely didn't know, hopefully you can come to a mutual agreement. If they did know, eBay take a dim view of selling fake stuff. It happens a lot, so it's difficult for them to pick up on everything. But they would be interested to know.

Diafold Diamond sharpening  / honing stones (surprisingly, they're available in Machine Mart!). Not cheap, but they do hone to a very clean edge. I've got a diamond stick for serrated edges.

Just a thought, but the manufacturer may be "interested" to hear about fakes being sold on eBay;  interested enough to nudge your seller into doing something about it, anyway.  Some don't care less but some companies protect their trademarks very enthusiastically.

i use a Blade Tech sharpener. it only cost a tenner and goes on me keyring. its one of the better prefab jobs ive used.its very consistent and mines lasted ages now. :)
