water proofing the distributor V8

The other weekend i went through some rather deep water and mud. In the morning, i smeared Vasoline on the distributer. It worked a treat all day. Well impressed.

Hmm taking the vaseline and going out for the day :D what would the wife say?, i had thought about that as well might try it, nearly finished scoffing the ice cream as well so i can have the pot, ooh i feel sick now :(

after all the tips :D  i found an old 5 litre can cut it to fit and fitted it round the dizzy as per pauls piccies, works a treat no problems today when out, have also fitted an old plastic water bottle round the coil with the leads coming out the neck for a bit of splash protection

Who needs expensive waterproofing kits. :wink:
