What type of temperature sender unit?

I have a dicso 200tdi and basically the temp guage would only move a couple of mm's just about ove the cold line.
I tested the connection by earthing the wire... everything seemed fine. so i replaced the sender unit with the same one as before (orange), but still the same problem.

Is orange the right type?
