hello,
this must be the year of the tin worm with my bulkhead needing replacement and the rear waist bands,

well today i was poking the chassy at the front on the drivers side of the front forks, what do i do, do i have it welded up or a replacemnet section fitted?

ultimatly whats the cheapest option? im broke as it is  :|

cheers kieran

Shunt:
Cheapest option would be to beg/borrow a welder and get to it.

heres a picture

on closer inspection i has rotted from the inside

Rich_P:
If that's the location I think it is, with the yellow being the bumper, then that is not an uncommon rot place (at least on Series motors!).  You could get repair sections, but it's really a front body off job.  However because the suspension doesn't actually sit there on a coiler I think you could get away with just patching it short term until you're in a position to replace that entire section with a new piece.

Although the patching route depends on how bad it actually is...

cheers, i have good news for me i guess, i will be taking the front end off with bulkhead replacment well it will be easier then and i have a mate whos a welders o hope i can sort it and it last untill after uni when i have the money to do a chassy swap

cheers kieran
