Plug Leads 5 & 7
Merlin:
I saw on another Forum that apparently these 2 leads can cause a problem when running next to each other. Has anyone come across this & should it be taken seriously?--Cogs
Range Rover Blues:
Yes, but it's not an everyday problem, just that if you get cross-arcing it would wreck your engine.
Merlin:
Thanks, I will re-route one of the leads just in case. Any others that this involves?--Cheers--Cogs
muddyweb:
The best idea is to make sure your leads are in proper plug-lead separators... this is good practice anyway, especially on a vehicle which will be subjected to wet mud in the engine bay.
If the leads are in good condition, then they shouldn't cross-arc, if they are properly separated, the risk is further reduced.
Most V8s have clips for the leads on the side of the rocker covers, and provided you keep everything tidy, then you ought to be OK.
Merlin:
Yes Tim, mine are all in their respective separators nice & neat. I thought that the separators musn't be far enough apart & you had to have them even further away from each other. As mine are all in their correct locators I will leave them as they are. It's an interesting learning curve indeed ownibg a CRR--Tony
