grumbling noise after 2" lift

You might even see physical evidence that the UJ is knocking. I had a series prop UJ do that, the yoke hits the recesses in the flange due to the increased angle from extended shackles. A different (yet standard!) UJ assemble had less 'meat' and allowed for the increase in working angle.
You can also get custom wide angle propshafts instead of going down the cardon jointed prop shaft route.

There is a place at bulwell called wilsons driveshafts (i think). A friend had some wide yoke props made for a series for £135 each :D

Finally found the problem, took the prop off today and found the 30mm nut that holds th drive flange in the transfer box was only finger tight!!! not bad to say its only six weeks old! oh and one of the front swivels and the steering box is leaking YIPPEE!
