This has been asked many time but need straight answer - Tyres
Gav_T:
I ran m/t's in this size (remoulds too) without a lift. Was on standard landrover alloys (+33 offset) and all i had to do was put longer steering bolts in and do a camel cut. Dont think they would have fitted on mods though as the offset on the is only +8mm.
No lift and 235/85/16's on full articulation with no rubbing :afro:

AAARRRRRGGHHHHH!
it conflicts, one says one thing one says the other...
do not want to go for a lift yet SWMBO wont allow, on my last disco i had 2" lift wit 235/85/16 MT (colway) and she said it looked stupid, but i loved it and looked the dogs,.
At the moment it has 205/Something/16's and are on the limit
Gonna do lift when i have got thru one set of tyres but want to go bigger than standard, would 235/75/16 look better?

How does it conflict? Everybody agrees it can't be done unless you do a Camel cut or a lift or both.

If they dont work for whatever reason they you have to buy a lift kit (like you want!) and her indoors cant do owt about it!
Gavin.
