TAILGATE STUCK?

Stripes:
HELP went shopping had to put it via the rear doors as the tailgate wont open  :x
so i took the tailgate door card apart and tried to release the thing :evil:
and nowt no change or release at all
it unlocks as normal with the central locking
help please

Remove LR badge, apply WD40, or it's the spring  :?:
