I went for 33's due to the cheap plastic arches not having cut enough out of my bodywork and 34's would have rubbed too.
As for wear rate, they are a Extreme mud tyre and therfore you shouldn't worry too much about their road wear.
That said, unlike the Extreme Trekker, these are speed rated for road use (100mph) which is nice  ;)
They are very noisey though  :lol: I suppose i'll have to turn the stereo up some more then  :lol:
Actually, sod the noise, check out how much grip i've got!!!!!

Unfortunetly not
I'll have to get one made for the car.
The next things to be done is the tank guard, heavy duty steering arms with damper relocation and a complete Polybush.
The list of upcoming goodies is long
Air locker, HD shafts/CV's & flanges, HD rear bumper, tree sliders, roof lighting, intercooler just to name a few bits  :shocked:
By this time next year it will be finished (i hope)

I won this recently and want to fit a steering guard the same as yours. I've browsed and searched a certain Devonian web site and can't find it. Any chance you can post a link?

At the moment their is no link to the D1 steering guard but it will appear on the site very soon.
I cant remember the price off hand, i'll have to have a look tomorrow  :D

motor looks well smart Jake - you made a good choice with those tyres and the sizing - it looks just right and minimal pain to the arches.

the grip from simexs is great isnt it - in the mud they are fantastic.

There's been a few more bits done now
I have fitted a Southdown tank guard

Fitted some groovy cup holders

and yesterday i fitted my new roof rack

Its a ARB touring rack. Designed for roof tents.



I just need to get a roof tent and some spot lights for it now
I should have the spot lights in a couple of weeks
