Just a idea if it has had a clout ???

no sign of a clout on mine either - protector bracket still virginal - and my winch PTO thingie hangs lower. I suppose I could put a dial tester on it and check for wobble ... sometime.
Landy Andy:
Just what i thought of!
But where do you get dial tester from???
is yours worse at higher revs?

kicks in at different rev ranges, only when moving, usually on acceleration - noise is same level for slow or fast vehicle speed.
erm dial indicator - not sure- I probably nicked mine from somewhere when I was apprentice or my ol'man did, probably best to use one with the wheel or ball probe attachment. DINGCROFT sell a cheap one (link below)

Landy Andy:
Yes, mine is the same, at certain revs.
I don't have a dial test indicator and don't like the idea of £45 for one job, especially when you might find that noise might only occur whilst driving.
Was wondering whether it was play in transfer box bearings, allowing disc to wobble????????
Or prop uj's or though my rears are new.
Nice website saved that in my favourites.
