Front or rear?
If front make sure you are out of 4 wheel drive
Then check the items described earlier in the thread, chock the wheels, hand brake off, see how much free play on the diffs, and outputs on the transfer box, also any play in the bearings as well

The most common is backlash in the dif(s)

yep just stuck some new bearings in my back diff. started with humming and when you slowed down to about 10mph it would start to jump along. had to replace rear prop too as that had started to move around after not fixing bearing soon as it started
