how to tell if my 90 used to be a truck cab.

An internal mount was an early option, I think

mines a 97 and it has the bulkhead bracket

I'd expect Station Wagons to not have it, but hard tops to still have it.

I went through the same exercise with my early 110 (1983). The VIN on that didn't break down as far as BTM's list. The body type only showed as 'commercial' which included truck cab, soft top or hard top. It had lashing hooks along the side and tailgate hinges on the cross member, but was a hard top when I bought it.
