Chainsaws also leave nasty marks as well. Don't go near one with out the proper 'multi nylon layer' clothing
--- End quote ---
It's not what they leave as much as what they take away . They rip 1/4 inch wide chunks of meat . 1 revolution of the chain and it's cut all the way through .
This type of wound doesn't bleed that much , luckily.

Bump.
That was the sound of a 50 year old man passing out

Now that you've come round I can share with you the knowledge that my wound is a little infected and has gone a funny colour. Doctor beckons in the morning.

Hence the need to cut the radius arm off.

Got that fun to come soon, tret myself to an air powered saw. Trouble is how quickly it empties the res on my compressor!

I might get one as well. Wonder if it is man enough though. Need to cut right though the radius arm between the bracket.

For those of us whos fingers still number 10, I quite like the air saw, but it's a bit poor if your compressor isn't the size of your car, then it's a beast. What I was planning was to cut between the radius arms and the bracket, taking out the end of the sleeve and the bolt, which is seized in (only one of them, I checked today). On inspection I see that this gap is currently full of rubber, now you can cut this with the saw, but compressed air is a precious comodity so I may resort to setting fire to the bush in order to remove enough of it to get in with the saw.
It's the front radius arm, so can you imagine trying to cut through that?
Good new is if I cut one side I may remove enough of the bolt for it to come out when I've ground the head of the other end. Fortunatley it's so cold outside I'm wearing 2 boiler suites
