I though that they might be trained only to poop in one place or go on command but what if the blind guy is on holiday or they swap dogs with another blind guy.
Next time i see a blind guy and his dog I'll stop and ask them.

Interesting question - I think!
we have a friend thats been blind since birth, suppose we could ask him, mind you hes only ever had 1 dog - as it took him 4 weeks to train the dog how to get to his local pub  :lol: he could walk it on his own in 10 minutes - with the dog it took him 20 with all the stopping at crossings etc. :lol:
She ended up being a 'house ' dog, and he continued doing what he'd done for the previous 25 years - going it alone!
