after an argument today what would be the carbon footprint of a one litre bottle of volvic or similar bottle of poncey water?
only the ecomentalist I was talking to was having difficulty grasping the irony of my offroader being no worse than her imported water!

plastic bottle making factory
sticky label factory
machines to obtain water from source, then clean it if need be and bottle it
trucks then to distribute across the world
yeh the footprint is shameful

We have one of those people living up the road from us. If she does not shut up I am seriously thinking of parking the Disco on top of her ( but then she would moan about the flora and fauna)

If you think thats bad - try explaining to some no brainer about the carbon footprint for a Toyota Prius.....lead for the Batteries are mined in America - then parts are shipped to the UK.. then over to japan, then the vehicles are shipped worldwide, powered by fossil fuels entirely (including the electricity) had a great arguement with someone about them, the usual 'youre killing the planet in your GAS GUZZLER ' my reply started - 'its a diesel, thats running on BIO diesel'.. then she mentioned the prius....hence the above arguement, she looked very sheepish!
