Tyre wear problem
lee celtic:
Hi All
Ever since buying the Disco I have had a problem with the passenger front tyre wearing twice as fast as the other three tyres, I have had the wheels balanced and the tracking done and there is no evdence of a bump to suggest that anything is bent or out of line ,but the outer edge of the tyre wears very fast .
This has happened on the road tread 205's and the mud 235's it's got to the point where I buy 6 tyres so I can swap the front near side on it's own .
The owner of the local landy garage was behind me a while back heading towards Caernarfon ,He says I drive too fast and take corners way too fast could this be the reason the one tyre is wearing . also a tyre fitter last time I had them balanced said that the front near side wears more because of the cambre on the roads.
CONFUSED AND LOOKING FOR ADVICE [-o<

mentalmoshio sophs V8i:
maybe its the wheel the problem missed formed somewhere do u get any wheel simmer on the front.
or a bush worn possible. or uneven weight through the disco like what happen to commerical van and lorrys
or wheel bearing worn or toe in or out to much

No shimmer .
and it's happend on two sets of rims and three sets of tyres..
wheel bearings are fine as is alignment.
question is will the cambre on the road or driving too fast wear the outer edge of the nearside front tyre???
and has anyone else had the same problem on a disco...
