Another tyre saga

(1/3) > >>

bigwood:
Bought my Disco in December with two 205/70/16 Goodyear wranglers on the back. One odd worn tyre offside front, one new all terrain 205/70/16 nearside front. For my last outing I swapped the goodyears to the front and thought the odd tyre looked bigger than the rest. Bugged by this I took this one back off this morning to find the size. It is 205/80/16. I haven't noticed any problems so far and I don't really want to buy tyres just yet. Bye the way the spare is a just legal road tyre. I have only had dealings with series Landy before, am I heading for problems running this as it is for now. 235/70/16 will going on for the test in November hopefully. :-k

beast5680:
i could be wrong but i,m sure different size tyres are illegal to run on the same car when they should all be the same :?

lee celtic:
I'd say they all need to be the same diameter so invest in a single tyre to match , part worn cheap off eBay ;)

bigwood:
I know about the legal side of the tyre size .I was more concerned with the damage it would cause to the running gear. 8-[

mentalmoshio sophs V8i:
205/70/16 they must only have been 25 inchs tall. standard disco tyres should 205r 16 ,225/75/16 , 235/70/ 16 , 255/65/16.

id go for wider tyres there alot more balance on the road.
