1998 2.5 Cherokee sport Deisel STARTING SLUGGISH

Hi guys my Cherokee has become very sluggish to start not the immediate response it did have.I hear a click like a cellinoid click and it seems to be coming from behind the glove compartment area.I did get stuck in the Corwen car wash 3 weeks today and had to be rescued dont know if any of you guys have seen it on youtube.Car got started after 1/2 hr and then went on to finish the day,i was told to be on the lookout for little niggles that might happen as a result of my dip.Anyone got any ideas what it could be.The glow plug light comes on and goes out like it should but when i turn the key theres a click and a slow start.That never used to happen.Any advice would be helpful.Cheers

Hi there, I always find this problem with the cherokees and the only way of solving the problem is to change the glow plugs even if a glow plug tester shows there OK,from JJL Motorsport Engineering.
