I've done the mod to the dizzy a while ago after a disastrous day in a ford :oops:
I used some brass nipples & silicone tubes but just not sure where to route the tubes too, mine are just wrapped round by the airflow meter at the moment.
I used the article that Eeyore posted but was worried about the timing thing. " as a small pressure change will effect timing."
I also bought some new leads & siliconed on the dizzy cap.
I tried it out yesterday in the same ford that caused all the trouble, I tried my hardest to get it to splutter but it didn't.
It was nowhere near as deep as when I got it flooded though but managed to get the water over the bonnet with no problems this time round :D

You need to drill two holes in the body of the distributor and run a small bore tube from one to a vacuum source and the other to a dry place preferably through a filter. I have screw in adapters from an old MOD distributor in mine but most seem to just silicone the tube into the hole.
