bit of advice buying a TAX Exempt Landy

lol though prob wouldnt wanna insure a v8 at 16 lol

just so you know, i was quoted around £5000 to insure as a learner on me series, but when he passes, cheaper insurance than all his mates!

Make sure it really is tax - exempt and not made into one. I bought a 1967 S2A for a couple of hundred quid. It came with an expired free tax disc and the log book said it was a Historic vehicle. Unfortunately it had 3 different chassis numbers. Chassis was S3, inner bulkhead was S2A (and was the same as the log book/registration No), the front panel had a different chassis number yet again and was a S3 item. I stripped it in the end and scrapped the Reg :(
