got some bucket seats in the shed ready to fit . only thing is the runners and different sizes apart . whats the best method to fit them . seen some welded b4 unsure about safety on that idea :|

lee celtic:
cut a sheet of steel big enough to bolt to the bottom of the seat .

drill it and bolt it to the seat.

take it off and drill it so it bolts to the sub frame .

then just bolt it to both .

you can cut the middle out to loose weight and give a hole for your backside to bounce in and out of ;)

mentalmoshio sophs V8i:
wat sort of thickness of metal ?

lee celtic:
I'd say 4mm steel would do it as the runners are only 3mm thick .

I sat steel so you can weld captive nuts to the back of it so you don't need to get a spanner on both ends...
