discovery problems !
robert francis:
hi, my friends got a land rover discovery 300tdi off road prepped, and when he hits about 32mph the steering wheel shakes so bad you want to get out and walk home,
things weve changed,
front axle
steering bars
front bearings
only happened after steering bars were changed, but we taken them off put another full set of track rod ends on and triple cheked alls done right and they are
does any one have any ideas
Jake:
Check the bushes, all of the front ones
Are the front wheels bent or badly balanced?
Is the car lifted? Maybe the prop is under stress and vibrating
Castor correction may fix that problem
Are the wheel bearings properly seated?
Thrasher:
try swapping the wheels/tyres with a known good set.
annabelle:
Steering damper?

Only when he drives through water! Sorry, couldn't resist that. Sounds like wheel balancing problems.
