Modifying my 2.5TD XJ...not so easy...

(1/1)

Cherokee:
As I need to keep good road stability, handling etc as the Jeep is used for the horse box run on wet slippy North Wales lanes....and driven by wifey ...!

But i need solid off road performance, so would top notch all terrains and under body protection be better suited to my needs than a suspension rise and big muds..!..I know the diesel sits slightly higher anyway and i have only become really grounded once in a deep rut....but chickened out on bad mud on my roadies/all terrain mix at present.....I await your thoughts and advice guys... :-k

Bishops Finger:
If starting out a transfer case skid plate and M/T's should be a good starting point....would miss the at route and go straight to MTs...235 x 75 R15 will be the biggest you can fit on a standard XJ and they will get you most places

Oh and decent front/rear recovery points as well

Cherokee:
Cheers ...........any good recommendations on cherokee suitable Muds i am currently running 235 x 75 x15, also any links to skid plate supplirs etc...and finally where have you all put your recovery points and shackles...thanks in advance

Bishops Finger:
