hockey stick bushes
automania:
the two bushes at the end of both hockey sticks are getting worn again, last replaced about january ish, with a previous set in about 4 months prior to that.
had thought the first set of replacements may have been a faulty batch or something but as there now wearing again there is obviously something worng somewhere, the first time i replaced the bushes i did the chassis end too, now, there is a bit of slop in the chassis bracket where the bush fits in, this is shown too by being able to see rust when the bushes are fitted, so question is would a small amount of movement where the two bushes at the other end prematurely? if so how to fix it, neither craddocks or paddocks list the chassis mount on their websites, so do i cut a ring of steel an weld it on? any ideas much appreciated thanks
Range Rover Blues:
Rubber bushes or poly bushes?
automania:
just been fittin normal rubber bushes.
Range Rover Blues:
Well they will soften up with use but to wera 2 sets out so quickly, do you do extreme off-road :-o
automania:
not recently not even done that much mileage either. thinking about trying a different supplier just to see if its a faulty batch, either that or try polybush types. vehicle is a standard v8 90 except for winch and bumper. cheers for replies
