vacuum pump 300tdi

how stiff should the diaphram on the vacuum pump be?????

i have to stand on mine while its on the floor to get the plundger to move inside the body..... is this too stiff or not????

it also makes abit of a gluging noise when the engine is turning over???

Gluging, my sister's does that :-k

On hers though the pump is doing nothing whatsoever, I might take it off.
