Thinkin of Making a 100 incher

Hello everyone, I'm really thinking hard about making a 100" defender crew cab on my current disco chassis. I have a perfect example of a 200tdi disco and I want to make something special. I have bought the 4x4 is born, and that was really my encouragement to look into this.

So the question is, where can I find info about all this type of conversion, any write ups etc?

i saw that on telly and it encouraged me to change my Cassy i hadn't even changed a brake pad before the hardest part was taking the old one apart

Do some searchs for SVA first as this may well put you off. At the very least you need to know what your letting youself in for.

Yes it looks complicated.  I've read up as much as I can on the SVA and I'm a bit confused, but it looks like if the tester deesm it to be "radically altered" then it has to be tested like it's a new car, the gov't doesn't want up driving old cars and this is another opertunity for them to get you off the road.  So do some research, contact the local SVA station and have a chat before you start.

Unless you can keep the Disco chassi without cutting or welding it, ie the whole mod has to bolt on to what's there already, then I think you are looking at an SVA.
