tree sliders

Hi

I had a pair of tree sliders on my Range rover - they were from Scorpian racing and were extremly expensive.

I've since tried to find some cheaper alternatives for my Disco (oh how I wish I took them tree sliders off the Range when I sold it :-( ho hum...)

Anyway it seems all the cheaper ones are chassis mounted. Now I have a 2" body lift and this means the chassis mounted (or chassis and sill like Guardian) are no good as they don't cover up the sills and they look silly. Also I'd like to completely cover up my sills which are not the prettiest as they have had many repairs to them!

The great thing about the Scorpian sliders I had was they only bolted to the sill and covered over the weding repairs.

I know that attaching to the sills is weaker than to the chassis but I never had a problem with them on the Range and they did get used! Especially when I slid sideways down a bank into a tree on a pay and lay site (don't ask!).

So does anybody know somebody or somewhere I can get a sill mounted set at a reasonable price?

Ideally I'd like to payaround £150-200 for them. Certainly not interested in paying £350 inc VAT for them!

Any suggestions?

Timing or what-had a set fitted today on my Disco that fit to both sides of the sills and look really good supplied by DISCOPARTS,hope this helps Andy.

I've got some sill mounted Discoparts sliders too. Very heavy duty dropped one out of the boot of the car without any damage, except coating.

£125 from the Old Sod.

Hi

Yes had forgotten about Disco parts... Have used them before my demountable drop plate and receiver and rear bumper came from them.

I am not especially keen on the look of their tree sliders... if I went that root I'd just buy the rock sliders and blackmail somebody into welding some tubular Nerf bars to them.

Cheers guys...
