is there such a thing as

a thing that shows all vehicular byways, that updates itself and will navigate through such routes as are available and is dash mountable and does not cost horrific amounts of money?

Skibum346:
There is no "Magic Wand" solution...

But MemoryMap, a GPS reciever and a bit of research/borrowed overlays will do exactly as you've described.

Boggert:
Yep,

Buy a land ranger map, and a felt tip pen, then go on Wayfinder and get colouring.

Or as the last post said a magic wand!

Lord Shagg-Pyle:
A visit to the local highways department at the County Council may be in order to see the definitive map.

Boddle:
Might be a nice idea to come up with a place to share MM overlays and GPS logs and maybe a list of link to various County Council  Rights of way webpages. But I feel even if that were the case you really need to research it yourself to make sure.
