pro comp es 3000 rears catch on jimny
minimog:
NO DONT INVERT THEM they are not designed to work upside down it locks up the damping and will give you a realy harsh ride (i know i tryed)
jamesey:
what more harsh yhan i have already , the jimny at the moment feels as i have no suspention at all , anyway ive put some washers on the back to pull them away from the spring carrier that should do the trick 4 now :-k
glaggs:
Mine have been inverted (up side down) for 12mths + now with no ill effect. Simple answer is try it - if it doesn't work turn em back round! Without a bit of trial and error the Wright Brothers would never have got of the ground!
jamesey:
glaggs did you take and keep off your rubber boot protectors on the shocks??
jimny gary:
Throw the rubber boot protectors away, they fill up with mud and rust the piston rod of the shocks in no time. Should be fine inverting Gas shocks, Oil shocks be a different matter though. I seem to remember my rear shocks were just bent lol.
