200tdi oil pressure light stays on a bit after starting.
Tommo:
when i fire it up the oil pressure light stays on for a second or two which i never remember it doing when i bought it.
worrying.
never comes on whilst running once its gone off.
Figured it could be a sticky sensor but i fear its the oil pump or even worse the crank!
not stopping me driving it but i dont like it.
land-def-90:
had a similer prob with a series 3 a few years ago, a new sensor fixed it,
Bob696:
mine does that ... always has ... owned her for over 4 years and no engine problems
Range Rover Blues:
Sensor faulty
oil by-pass valve sticky or bust
oil needs changing
wrong oil filter (some have anti-backflow valves in them)
crank bearing wear
hole in head gasket too big
