Hybrids:
I did mine with a 5ltr of brake cleaner, the benefit of the brake cleaner is it is Triclorethane (sp !) and evaporates after you have poured away the cleaner and does not leave a residue

Range Rover Blues:
That's a good idea, it might shift the parafin residue also.
