I've changed my ABS sensor on a 300TDi and got some bits left over???

(1/1)

auf_wiedersehen_pet:

The white tube looks like some kind of sealant. The brass cage??? Looks like it has tabs that are meant to be bent?

Taking the old one out was a doddle and the new one I put back in was identical - so what are these bits? It was a Britpart sensor without instructions - not that they are needed???

Range Rover Blues:
The tube is probably grease, the brass thingy is the bit which holds the ABS sensor still and stops it falling out.  They should be changed every time the sensor is disturbed, yeah right.

Keep it safe, if the ABS light comes on because the sensor has moved, you'll wish you had fitted it when you had the chance ;)

yes i got a box of these (you was very lucky the sensor came out easily) as RRB says you may need it if the light comes on
