200tdi biofuel

sorry i have posted this in biofuel but i have got no response and i am very curious about if my car will be ok with biofuel and what i should expect, i have been reading on it but it dosnt have an answer and im a curious if anyone knows if i can run biofuel in my car and if i need to make any mods? all help appreciated thankyou jo   [-o<

I have been running my 200tdi on bio diesel for months now, no detrimental effects, some mornings it takes a few more cranks to start.......I have no engine mods at all.

I've heard mixed reports about the vegatable waste residue that straight veg oil leaves behind, but then I've had loads of trouble with a waxy resiue in the biodeisel I was using.  In the end I was spending what I saved per tank on new fuel filters so I stopped using it :evil:

Be very careful sticking waste veg oil into your truck.  When heated, veg oil forms free fatty acids.  I don't recall the reason these are bad, but they are.

However the 200TDi will run on vegitable based substitute fuels, whatever you choose to try :)
